“There have been many times in a forest where I felt that I was not looking after the forest. Some days I felt trees looking at me, talking to me…I was there, listening…”

Andre  Marchand

Reaction is the reflex of the organism in the face of any situation. Although the eye perceives what it is looking at directly, artists indirectly express the act of seeing. Thus, the act of looking and the act of seeing are differentiated. The artist creates different meanings by distorting image clusters, just like water that creates reflections. This reflection is sometimes dispersed by fluctuations, sometimes it is completely visible, sometimes it disappears…

The artist re-interprets the images as a result of each of his productions. This repetitive characterization can reveal a reactive situation. The image can constantly change its meaning and if it differentiates, it becomes the secret of productions by creating the magic of art.

Curated by Sena Gökçeoğlu, “Tepke”, which consists of the works of 10 young artists, aims to combine the works of these young artists focusing on the act of looking, with the viewer’s point of view.
